The T1 Trump is the same color as Scrooge McDuck’s gold coins

After nine months of delays, the Trump Mobile T1 (nicknamed the “Trump Phone”) was shipped to members of the media. We got one that we pre-ordered, and it’s an ornate gold color, bordering on garish.

Perhaps one of the few elements that have survived from the original, bizarre model of Trump’s phone from June 2025 is the American flag on the back. It has 50 stars, but seems to be missing some lines.

Instead of the gold “Make America Great Again” wallpaper of the original model, the home screen now has a royal blue wallpaper with Trump’s phone in white. If this is not your jam, you can change it.

The T1 Trump mobile phone comes with a case, wall charger, and even a gold USB-C cable. There is a small user guide in English only.

The Trump phone features the waterfall screen design that was popular on Android devices three to five years ago.

It comes with a version close to Android 15, but it’s unclear how many years of software and security updates Trump Mobile will commit to supporting.

There is a headphone jack, but it is located at the top of the phone.

It has three rear cameras: an ultra-wide camera, a wide-angle camera, and a 2x telephoto camera.

In different lighting, the gold plastic back takes on different colors. Here it is almost mustard color.

In this shot, the gold looks a little more muted.

The T1 here looks almost khaki in color.

It comes pre-loaded with the Truth Social app. But it lacks TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook and other social media apps. You can add these other apps via the Google Play Store.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max (left) shows Apple’s minimalist metallic color, which contrasts with the gold color of the Trump Phone.
