At Google’s virtual “Android Show: I/O Edition” event on Tuesday, the tech giant announced a series of upcoming updates and features, including Improve Gemini’s intelligence featuresnew devices called Google Booksand other Android improvements, such as Vibe encrypted widgetsGemini in Chrome and new emojis.
The features will arrive ahead of Google’s annual developer conference this month, which will focus largely on artificial intelligence, as it did last year.

Google unveiled Googlebooksits new line of laptops designed with Gemini at its core. The tech giant is working with partners like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo to produce the first Google Books in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Gemini is now being rolled out broadly on Android Auto, allowing drivers to ask questions, brainstorm ideas or learn about topics hands-free while on the road, Google said. The company also said users will be able to place food orders from the car, starting with DoorDash.
