A VPNA VPN, or virtual private network, is an important tool for privacy and security. It works by hiding your IP address from public view, helping you access content that may be region-restricted or censored. Many VPNs, e.g WindscribeIt also offers additional features, such as ad blocking.
But you’ve probably never thought of giving your AI agent access to a VPN, too.
If you use OpenClawChatGPT, or one of the many other LLM programs with Internet access, your autonomous AI agent can now benefit from the same privacy and security features.
VPN from Gen Digital for AI clientsfrom the company that owns big names like Norton and Avast, will now let you route your own autonomous AI agent through VPN for Agents. It is available through General Agent Trust Center And powered by Norton VPN.
“Using a VPN with LLM can offer many advantages, such as keeping your identity private. Your ISP will not be able to see your AI agent’s activity, or that you are using an AI agent,” said Mo Long, CNET’s senior editor.
“You can also unblock regional content in LLM. Running your VPN through an AI agent may allow you to avoid traffic throttling or blocked access. Gen’s VPN for AI Agents works with multiple AI agents, requires no downloads or client setup, and has multi-tunneling technology that allows you to run multiple agents simultaneously through the VPN.”
A VPN provides enhanced security and privacy for your online activities, preventing your ISP and other actors from tracking you.
More people are turning to AI agents, but those agents often access the Internet without additional protection, meaning your IP address is tied to all their activities, Long said. This means that not only does your ISP see your activities through the AI agent, but the agent also cannot access regional content, bypass restriction or restricted access.
Windscribe recently debuted OpenClaw proxy support, and Gen Digital now has a VPN that supports several LLM certifications, including OpenClaw and ChatGPT.
Windscribe expresses this in… Her blog postas the company notes: “If your agent gets a little overzealous and raises a security challenge or lands on a blacklist, your digital reputation will be on the line, and your entire home network will likely take a hit.”
OpenClaw is one of the main AI agents that will be able to take advantage of VPN services.
“Perhaps most importantly, your ISP cannot differentiate between your Internet traffic and the traffic of your own independent AI agent,” Tomaszyk said. “But with this integration, as well as with Windscribe’s, the VPN encrypts your proxy traffic as well, so you’re basically protected from anything your agent might do independently on the Internet.”
A Gen Digital representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
