LG announced on Thursday All six 2026 Gram laptop models are available for pre-order. Headlined by the premium-priced 3-pound, 16- and 17-inch Gram Pros, the new lineup includes budget-friendly PCs. Gram book 15 and 16 inchesa two-in-one convertible and Copilot Plus BC Clamshell.
The new laptops ship with a special, limited one-year warranty deal from LG Premium Care for $1, but are only available through May 10 for select models.
Here are the details on LG Gram’s latest laptops – and whether the warranty might justify your purchase.
The base model is positioned as a mid-range PC that combines a sleeker design and decent specs with a lower price point.
Two new Gram Pro laptops headline the updated lineup. These laptops are the first to use the company’s Aerominum material, which keeps the weight down to just 3 pounds while improving strength and scratch resistance. Although LG has many configurations for both sizes, there are only two options.
The 16-inch model features:
The 17-inch model contains:
The AMD-powered 16-inch Gram Pro is available for pre-order now at $2400while the 17-inch Intel-powered model is available for pre-order at $1,650. Unfortunately, Nvidia RTX 5050 discrete graphics are not available in other configurations.
Three newly updated Gram laptops are now available with a $1 premium care option: Gram Pro 2-in-1, Gram Book, and Gram Standard laptop.
As with many convertibles, the 16-inch Gram Pro 2-in-1 sacrifices performance in tablet mode, making it a more attractive option for artists and note-takers. This device ships with an OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800, supports touch or pen input and features an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor, 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 1TB storage. The 16-inch LG Gram Pro 2-in-1 is available for pre-order now at $2200.
The affordable Gram Book is available in new 15.6- and 16-inch models that support Intel and AMD processors, respectively. The 15.6-inch Gram Book is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 115U processor and has 1TB of storage, but only 16GB of DDR5 RAM — so don’t expect to do any AI-powered heavy lifting with this PC. The 16-inch Gram Book is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 CPU and features 1TB of storage and 32GB of LPDDR5X memory. Honestly, for a few hundred dollars more, this would probably put it in a relatively better spot than the 15.6-inch model.
The 15.6-inch Gram Book with Intel processor is available for pre-order now at $1,150while the AMD-powered 16-inch Gram Book is available for pre-order now at $1500.
Last but not least, the good 15-inch Gram model is also getting an update. The LG Gram 15 is a Copilot-powered clamshell powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 7 450 CPU, 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 1TB of storage. LG Gram 15 is available for pre-order now at $1600.
The LG Premium Care warranty deal applies to the six new models, including two separate LG Gram Book configurations.
We are now witnessing an unprecedented rise in technology prices amid volatile market conditions. DefinitionsAnd war and Fucking Ramageddon Leading to higher laptop prices. If you are going to buy such an expensive piece of hardware, I think it becomes a no-brainer to insure it.
The extended warranty is another cost that consumers will have to absorb, but a special LG Premium Care deal offers a very significant discount on this new laptop lineup. One year of LG Premium Care usually costs between $130 (for Gram Books) and $175 (for Gram Pros).
Buying some peace of mind for a few hundred dollars off isn’t too shabby — but I wouldn’t rush to shell out thousands of dollars for a warranty deal. Certain laptop configurations also often go on sale in the months after their initial release, so even if the warranty isn’t cheap again, a bundle deal could be very cheaper at some point in the future.
If you’re looking for a new laptop and one of the six new LG Gram models is calling out to you, pre-ordering one now to take advantage of the special one-year warranty deal isn’t a bad idea. But if you’re not in the market for a new laptop at this exact moment, I wouldn’t rush out the door (or to the website for that matter) to get this special limited warranty either.
