Logitech has made a keyboard that is both analog and mechanical

Each type of keyboard switch comes with advantages and disadvantages. People who are used to typing on mechanical keys may hate how soft and squishy analog keys are in comparison. Whatever your thoughts, analog switches stand out because there are so many ways players can customize how quickly they register inputs. Logitech’s new G512 The company claims that 39 of this model’s switches are compatible with “all” popular analog mechanical switches and 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches.

The G512 All options will launch on May 2nd for $179.99 and $199.99 respectively. It’s available for pre-order now.

A distinctive feature of TMR sensors is that they allow up to two actuation points per key to be actuated at different points while the key is pressed. This depth of customization is useful in games where you need to be precise and sometimes quick with your inputs. Logitech says its second actuation point provides a tactile response you can feel as you press.

These TMR keys also support hot trigger, which quickly prepares them for another input without the keys needing to fully back up (useful for spamming attacks or making small moves faster than your opponents). These features disappear when you swap out the analog switches for mechanical switches, but it’s nice to have the flexibility to come back if you want.

The G512 And it’s great that the Logitech model offers the best of both worlds at a fairly reasonable price.
