Anthropic has launched a set of connectors for Claude that allow the AI chatbot to leverage popular creative software, including Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Affinity, Blender, Ableton, Autodesk, and more.
This marks the company’s latest effort to break into the creative industry following its launch Claude Design Earlier this month. New connectors – which Enable Cloud access to applicationsand to retrieve data and take actions within connected services — “designed to make it easier for Claude to use creative work,” according to Anthropic, and can be used for specific functionality in each app.
The Adobe Creative Connector can leverage Creative Cloud apps like Photoshop, Premiere, and Express to “bring photos, videos, and designs to life” in Claude, for example. The Ableton connector allows Claude to answer questions by getting information directly from the music software’s official documentation, while the Blender integration gives the 3D modeling application’s Python API a natural language interface. You can read full details for each connector Anthropy Blog.
“Claude cannot replace taste or imagination, but it can open up new ways of working – faster, more ambitious ideas, a broader skill set, and the ability of creatives to take on large-scale projects,” Anthropic said. “AI can also help take on time-consuming parts of the creative process by handling repetitive tasks and eliminating manual work.”
As part of this announcement, Anthropic also became a corporate sponsor of Mixer development boxhelping to support the continued development of open source software, joining other top sponsors including Netflix, Epic and Wacom. This membership means that Anthropic will deliver Blender At least 240,000 euros ($281,000) each year, which Blender says will help it “continue to pursue projects independently, and focus on building tools for artists and creators.”
