Samsung’s new Wallet feature finds your travel plans and creates an itinerary

We’re all overwhelmed preparing for vacation. Ironically, knowing how to navigate to your convenient destination ends up being a huge stressor. But new Samsung wallet The feature can take some of that edge off.

The new feature, called Trips, will automatically collect relevant details from travel-related purchases made or added to the Samsung Wallet app, creating a detailed table from different information sources.

Instead of creating your own vacation timeline, Trips will manage your travel and event information to provide an in-app calendar that organizes every part of your trip.

Your itinerary will be filled with a variety of trip-related purchases, including bus, train and plane tickets, theme parks, sporting events, hotel reservations, car rentals, and more. Travel seems like the natural next step for Samsung Wallet, following the launch of the March update Live boarding pass updates.

If a specific purchase isn’t automatically shown in Trips, you can add it manually. You can also mark specific reservations with notes and memos if there are important details associated with the event that you don’t want to forget.

“Travel plans are often scattered across confirmations, apps and messages, and this creates friction in the precise moments when people need clarity.” Woncheul Chae saidhead of Samsung’s digital wallet team, said in a press release on Sunday.

The Trips feature is designed to condense this information into one place, allowing you to “stay one step ahead as your plans unfold,” Chai said.

Samsung Wallet Trips uses the Samsung Knox security system to protect sensitive information through a combination of encryption and biometric technologies.

Samsung Wallet is only available on Samsung Galaxy devices.

A Samsung representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
