Spotify partners with Peloton for guided workouts


Spotify has gotten involved in that Custom playlistsbut is now diving more deeply into the fitness space with playlists and curated content from creators like Yoga with Kassandra, Sweety Studio, Chloe Ting, and Pilates Body by Raven. Not only that, but premium subscribers will have access to over 1,400 Peloton classes.

Spotify has already expanded beyond its music roots, with audiobooks, podcasts, and video. So jumping into fitness and wellness doesn’t seem like a big stretch, especially since there are so many playlists built around exercise. But it adds to the already messy application.

Users will now have access to the new fitness center where they can explore playlists and workout sessions. There are options for outdoor running, strength training, yoga, and meditation. Spotify is also quick to highlight that the workouts don’t require any specialized equipment — no Peloton bike or treadmill necessary.

The new fitness content will be available across mobile, desktop and TV apps and can be easily navigated between platforms. In a Blog poststates that you can “start a video workout on your TV, switch to audio on your phone for a run, and finish with guided recovery on your smart speaker.”

Peloton content will only be available in certain markets to start, and workouts will be primarily in English, though there are some options in Spanish and German.
