Last week, Trump Mobile overhauled its website, officially unveiling… Updated design of T1with the new specifications sheet to match. We’d forgive you if you thought this meant it was ready for release, but make no mistake: far from possible FCC license. And one phone that someone showed me via video call, there’s still no evidence that a Trump phone will ever be released.
The phone’s shiny new design can now be stuck to the top Trump Mobile websitebut there is no actual release date for the device. In fact, there even is less Version information than before. The site was saying the phone would arrive “later this year” (which it was Written for the first time In 2025, but hey), but right now there’s no mention of a possible release at all.
We also don’t know how much it will cost in the end. There’s still a $100 deposit for the phone, and a $499 price tag, but that’s now listed as a “promotional price,” something that was never mentioned on the website before now. Trump Mobile executives signaled that change was coming When I spoke to them in Februarybut it will only say that the final price will be “less than $1,000.” This is more information than what is on the site as is.
There’s also no indication that Trump Mobile as a whole has changed its modus operandi. Neither it nor the Trump Organization has issued a press release about the redesign, and the company and its executives continue to ignore my emails. The new Trump Mobile logo can now be found on its Instagram, Facebook, and Truth Social accounts, but it’s still not on its Page This doesn’t sound like a functional phone company.
What company He has A new page containing… Terms of Service for Pre-Order Deposits. The company “does not guarantee that the device will be produced or available for purchase,” nor will it guarantee that the phone will reach a specific shipping date, function properly on your carrier, or match spec lists and demos published to date. Some of this is probably a typical legal warning, but in the context of a company that has spent the last 10 months no Launching the phone, it’s another reason to be skeptical about what’s actually to come.
Interestingly, the terms are also clear that “the deposit does not restrict pricing (or) promotions,” the terms of which “may change at any time prior to purchase.” It’s an interesting wording, given the slogan you’ll find in capital letters at the top of every page on the site now: “Save the T1 promotional pricing now.”
I will believe a T1 is real when I have one in my hands, and other buyers do. Until then, all bets are off.
