AMC monthly movie prices hike: Here’s how to change your plan


If you watch up to four movies each week in AMC theaters with a monthly Stubs A-List membership, going to the movies in July may cost you a little more.

AMC Theaters is updating pricing for select plans on July 15, AMC reported To its websitewhere existing customers experience price increases on their first bill on or after that date.

Stubs A-List is the top tier in and offering AMC’s Stubs loyalty program Privileges Such as waiving online ticket fees and not charging extra for premium formats like IMAX. The subscription used to limit customers to three movies per week, but that has changed with Price increase in May 2025. Last year, AMC also lowered the minimum age to join the A-list to 13 years.

The A-List membership you can use in any state will soon increase from $28 per month to $30, and the membership you can use in states outside of California and New York will increase by $2 to $28 per month. By July, it will cost you $26 to watch movies at AMC theaters in any state outside of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington.

The A-List subscription, which lets you watch four movies a week in 24 states, isn’t changing from $20 a month, and AMC Theaters also isn’t updating the price of its $15 plan, which lets you watch one movie a week for $20. AMC Classic brand theatersaccording to its website. If you’re on a gift plan and your membership price changes, you’ll see the new price after the gift period ends.

AMC Theaters did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
