Bose’s noise-crushing QC Ultra Earbuds are on sale for about 20 percent off right now

When it comes to the best noise canceling earbuds, the competition is fierce. Apple, Sony, Samsung and Google all offer excellent options, although it’s no surprise that Bose still retains the noise-canceling crown with the latest QuietComfort Ultra Earphones. Fortunately, you can now get the second generation earbuds Amazon and Best buy For $249 ($50 off), which matches the second-best price yet.

While the QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd generation) don’t represent a huge step forward from the first-generation model, at least visually, they do make notable strides in audio and call quality. The bass is still a little heavy, but the high-quality sound is clear and lively, whether you’re listening to stock audio or adjusting your preference using the three-band EQ found in the Bose app. It also comes with a wireless charging case and continues to support immersive audio, which is similar to Apple’s spatial audio in that it can add greater depth when listening to specific content.

ANC technology is where the latest Ultra Earbuds really shine, especially if you’re someone who likes to adjust the intensity. The wireless earbuds feature 11 steps, from fully on to fully off, which you can lock in with your own presets, whether for running or commuting. They’re great at masking low-frequency sounds and high-pitched highs, too, even when using Bose’s handy Transparency Mode (aka Aware Mode), making it easier to better focus on your conversation and everything else going on around you when you need to.
