Google brings Gemini Personal Intelligence to India

Google Announce On Tuesday it will bring Gemini’s personal intelligence feature to users in India. This feature allows users to link their Google accounts, such as Gmail and Google Photos, and then ask Gemini questions to get personalized answers.

After connecting their services, users can ask a question like “What are my travel plans to Jaipur?” To get information from their emails or photos. The feature can also point to recent YouTube videos that users have watched to get ideas. Gemini will identify the sources of its answers so it can verify details, if necessary, the company said.

At launch, the Personal Intelligence feature will be limited to AI Pro and AI Ultra users in India. However, Google said it aims to expand it to free users in the coming weeks.

The expansion into India takes Gemini’s capabilities to another large market. Google first introduced personal intelligence in Beta in the US in JanuaryFor some paid levels. The company made it Available to all users in the United States. In March, the feature was also launched in Japan.

Google warned that Gemini does not always understand the context of your data correctly and may make connections between completely unrelated topics.

“Gemini may also struggle with timing or nuance, especially around relationship changes, like divorce, or your different interests. For example, seeing hundreds of photos of you on a golf course might lead them to assume you like golf. But it misses the nuance: You don’t like golf, but you like your kid, and that’s why you’re there. If Gemini gets this wrong, you can just say, ‘I don’t like golf,'” the company explained in a blog post.

The company is working to bring advanced AI features to users in India, one of its largest markets, at a rapid pace. In March, the company launched Gemini in Chrome for users in the country. Last week, it also enabled efficient restaurant booking flow through AI mode in India by partnering with platforms like Zomato, Swiggy and Easy Diner.
