EFF is about to exit X

The digital privacy nonprofit Electronic Frontier Foundation will no longer post on X as of Thursday, largely due to a sharp decline in views on the platform over the past several years. In a Blog post In announcing the departure, Kenyatta Thomas, director of social media and video at EFF, explained that the nonprofit used to get between 50 and 100 million impressions a month on X, but that has changed.

“Last year, our 1,500 posts received nearly 13 million impressions over the entire year. Frankly, X’s post today receives less than 3% of the views that a single tweet did seven years ago.”
