Anthropic essentially blocks OpenClaw from Claude by making subscribers pay extra

Starting tomorrow at 12 PM PT, Claude subscriptions will no longer cover usage on third-party tools like OpenClaw.

You can still use these tools with your Claude login via add-on usage packs (now available at a discount), or with your Claude API key.

We have done our best to meet the growing demand for Claude, and our subscriptions are not designed to match the usage patterns of these third-party tools. Capacity is a resource that we carefully manage and prioritize for our customers using our products and API.

Subscribers receive a one-time credit equal to the cost of your monthly plan. If you need more, you can now purchase discounted usage packages. To request a full refund, look for the link in your email tomorrow.

We want to be intentional in managing our growth to continue serving our customers sustainably over the long term. This change is a step towards that.
