Here’s our first look at Overwatch’s next hero (rumors are likely true)

Overwatch Five new heroes It’s about to be old news. The game was dropped First look In the upcoming Hero 51, some details in the new artwork appear to be in line with expectations that she is an ally of the damage hero Ash.

Hero 51’s look is defined by a very long rifle and a longer pink braided ponytail. Seriously, how do they not stumble upon this thing constantly? It’s also accompanied by some sort of drone that appears to have a camera or lens on the front.

Even before the art was revealed, fans began speculating that the hero of Overwatch Season 2 would be Franky, a member of Ashe’s Deadlock Gang. She appears in the novel Deadlock Rebels by Lyndsay Ely, which follows Ash and the hero now known as Cassidy at the beginning of their outlaw careers. In the book, Franky communicates with the two characters by sending out a small fly-like drone – perhaps a smaller version of the drone in Hero 51’s character art.

Frankie is also described as having curly lavender hair. In the book, the verse is short, but the story is also set two decades before Overwatch’s current time, so she may have been developing it since then.

Overwatch associate game director Alec Dawson said in February that the next hero will be another damage hero with “A really satisfying skill shot“, which seems to go along with the gun in the new artwork. While I love a good skill, I also feel like the game has been suffering from harmful hero releases over the past year – especially heroes that have the ability to quickly take someone down out of nowhere.

Newer damage champions Anran and Emre don’t have this issue, but Freja and Vendetta were constantly banned after release due to their fast time to kill, as well as their ability to constantly surprise enemies. I hope Hero Skill 51 is less explosive.

The game Talon reign season 1 It will conclude in the next two weeks. The current season began a year-long storyline about Vendetta’s control of Talon and also introduced five new heroes to the roster. The developers have promised another new hero each season throughout the story, and today’s artwork reveal is the first glimpse we’ve gotten of the rest.

We’ll have more details in a tournament trailer on April 8.
