McDonald’s has seen success offering themed combo meals, including its own specials Grinch holiday meal. Now, the fast food chain is tapping into Netflix’s Oscar-winning animated film, KPop Demon Hunters, with upcoming new menu items, a breakfast and lunch/dinner offering. Let’s hope you like the color purple.
the Hunter/X mealwhich is named after the K-Pop girl group in the movie, is a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal that includes a medium drink and three special menu items.
Ramyun MacShaker Potatoes It comes with a small bag of soy, garlic, sesame and spices, along with regular McDonald’s French fries. You sprinkle the seasoning into the included bag, dump it into your French fries, shake it all up and eat.
The meal includes two new sauces for french fries and nuggets. Hunter sauce It is a sweet chili sauce that blends chili peppers, garlic, and pepper. But my favorite item on this new menu is devil sauce, A bold mustard sauce with some heat and a deep purple color. There is not enough dark purple food.
Ramyun McShaker fries come with a small bag of soy, garlic, sesame and spice seasoning that customers sprinkle into the bag with the fries and shake before eating.
There is also a new dessert, which is… Derby McFlurrywhich blends smooth, creamy vanilla with raspberry-flavored boba pearls, served with a swirl of cranberry sauce. McDonald’s named it after the super cat Derby Tiger from the movie.

Both meals come with a team photo card and a derby card. The Derpy Card includes a QR code that you can scan to unlock online content for the movie.
Devil’s Sauce is a bold mustard sauce with heat and tang — and best of all, it’s bright purple.
The full KPop Demon Hunters menu should be available at participating McDonald’s restaurants starting March 31.
