Google unveil Three Gemini-powered features are coming to Google TV on Tuesday, including AI-powered visual responses, the ability to dive into almost any topic, and narrated sports overviews.
A particularly noteworthy addition is the introduction of visual responses.
For example, requesting the current score for a Warriors game will get live scorecards, along with information about where the game is being shown. Users can also search for recipes, and Gemini will supplement their response with relevant educational videos.

As shown in Consumer Electronics Show 2026Google TV is also getting a “deep dive.” This feature allows users to explore complex topics in more detail. When prompted, Gemini provides narrated visual details on all kinds of topics, such as health and wellness, economics, and technology. For example, users can ask: “What are the effects of cold plunge?”
Users can start these deep dives by selecting “Dive Deeper” in the response options or by going to the Gemini tab on the home screen and selecting the “Learn” option.

For sports enthusiasts, Gemini has launched “Sports Briefs”. This is for viewers who want to stay up to date with their favorite league without having to watch every moment live. Users can request timely, narrated overviews of events in leagues like the NBA, NHL, and MLB, making it easy to follow important highlights and updates. These features are currently rolling out to users in the US and Canada. Google has also indicated plans to expand Gemini’s capabilities to Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom this spring, with other countries set to follow.
