Apple is moving forward with plans to roll out ads on its Maps platform, which appear on devices such as iPhone A web version of the app will be released early this summer.

The business platform launched by Apple will be available in more than 200 countries and regions, according to the company.
Ads in Maps will initially only roll out in the US and Canada this summer.
The move is part of a larger plan to continue growing Apple’s services business, which includes subscriptions such as Apple TV PlusPlus Apple News, iCloud, and the App Store. While Apple’s advertising business is a smart part of the company’s revenue, services now account for a quarter of Apple’s annual sales, which are said to be more than $100 billion annually.
