Smart ring company Ultrahuman made its grand return to the US market on Tuesday, after a patent dispute with rival Oura has seen it banned from the country since late 2025. Now, US Customs and Border Protection has cleared the company to operate in the US, and the newly announced Ring Pro is available for pre-order immediately.
Back in August 2025, the US International Trade Commission ruled in favor of Aura in a patent dispute against Ultrahuman and Ringconn over the internal structure of their rings. Ringconn reached a royalty agreement with Oura, but Ultrahuman stopped selling it instead Circular airWhile he was working on the design Ring Pro. At the end of February, Ultrahuman unveiled its new innovation and began selling it on the global market while waiting to obtain a permit to sell it in the United States.
That clearance has now been granted, allowing Ultrahuman — which, along with Samsung, has the second-largest market share in the smart ring market after Oura — to entice American buyers with its wearable technology once again.
“We are thrilled to be back in the U.S. with Ring Pro,” company CEO Mohit Kumar said via email. “Ultrahuman is an engineering company – and we believe the company that leads engineering will ultimately win in this space.”
If you’re thinking about jumping into the world of smart rings, Ultrahuman’s Ring Pro has several attractive features to recommend it. The first is the amazing battery life of up to 15 days on a single charge. This can be extended to more than 45 days using the professional charging case.

Ultrahuman, unlike Oura, also doesn’t charge a subscription fee for access to basic health data, including sleep, recovery, movement, stress, and daily data (although some advanced metrics, available as software plug-ins, require a subscription). The Ring has a redesigned heart rate sensor, a dual-core processor for on-chip machine learning and 250 days of on-device health data storage. It’s designed to free you from constant attachment to your phone.
The first 1,000 customers to pre-order the Ring Pro will receive the ring and charging case for $349. After pre-orders, the Ring Pro will be priced at $399 and will include a mini charger, with the charging case costing $100 (or you can buy it as a bundle for $479). It is available in black, silver, gold and titanium, and features technology that allows it to be easily cut in the event of accidents or swollen fingers.
Ultrahuman rises to a higher level
Ultrahuman says she’s returning stronger than ever to the United States – and not just because of her new ring. When I visited the company’s booth at CES this year, I was amazed to see how the company has evolved into a more well-rounded and holistic health company than it was 12 months ago.
Not only has it launched a home device to monitor your sleep surroundings, it’s expanded to include advanced ovulation tracking, on-ring atrial fibrillation (AFib) detection, FDA-approved migraine insights, and real-time glucose monitoring through a separate wearable sensor. Ultrahuman now also performs blood tests to evaluate your biomarkers for a whole host of issues through a service it calls Blood Vision.
Even without any episodes shown, it was a display of the company’s commitment to not just be a competitor to Oura, but a leader with its new ideas in the burgeoning health tech space.
Ultrahuman currently has about 9% of the smart ring market compared to 74% for Oura, according to Report from Umniah Last November. But as the market continues to expand, there is plenty of scope to continue attracting new customers.
