Denon’s Premium turntable has Bluetooth technology for wireless convenience


Denon’s first Bluetooth turntable, the DP-500BT, is here. It is a premium record player with semi-automatic operation and a removable head cover for easy upgrades.

The DP-500BT is compatible with several Bluetooth codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive. It comes with a pre-installed MM cartridge and a built-in switchable subwoofer for added flexibility.

The semi-automatic turntable features 33/45/78 speed selection and also raises the needle at the end of the record. The cast aluminum platter is driven by a belt drive motor, and the cartridge is connected to an S-shaped tone arm.

The company says the turntable base is made from a composite plastic mold, and the total unit weighs 13.67 pounds. It is mounted on die-cast metal feet for improved vibration resistance.
