Some of the best horror games of all time are included in Humble’s latest $15 bundle

Humble has teamed up with Frictional Games for a A new collection of computer games That pushed the horror genre forward. Package includes Penumbra Collector’s Packthe four amnesia Titles (Dark lineage, pig machine, hideout, and New birth), and Somawhich I consider a work of visual aesthetics. All six games are worth $15 each and can be redeemed on Steam (purchasing the same set on Steam will currently cost you $78). Some titles work on Mac and Linux as well, and all are at least playable on the Steam Deck.

I know, I know – you probably can’t tell much about what’s going on in the pictures in this post. You often have to venture into these dark places (sometimes while being pursued by a creature that is attracted to you when you look at it) to get to the other end. The thing I give these games credit for is that the thrills are often not cheap, and they don’t hit you over the head with jump scares. Keep in mind that there are plenty of scary moments, but the games give you enough time to immerse yourself as peacefully as possible in the horror of their worlds, some of which are filled with scary things. You can get the games to play now, or get them so you have plenty to scare yourself with during Halloween.
