Claude now integrates more closely with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Anthropic announced a series of Claude– Updates arriving on Wednesday aim to improve workflow for Microsoft 365 users. The deep integration between the tools is designed to save time and effort for people who often work with both.

Latest updates for Claude for Excel and Claude for PowerPoint It will eliminate the need to constantly copy and paste in between Artificial intelligence chatbot Microsoft tools. Claude now maintains one continuous conversation across both tools, so you don’t have to repeat yourself or provide the same data twice. Claude can read data from an Excel spreadsheet, allowing you to add data directly to your PowerPoint presentation.

Anthropic gives the example of a financial analyst performing a series of actions without having to read data into the other tool or switch tabs at all during the process.

Claude’s skills – Automated and reusable actions within Claude himself – Now available directly in Excel and PowerPoint add-ins. Once you define a specific workflow, it can be saved as a skill that anyone in your organization can access with one click, without having to perform the action manually. This allows anyone to benefit from best practices without being an expert – saved skills do the work for you.

Anthropic also offers a pre-loaded set of getting started skills for common tasks within Excel and PowerPoint.

The new shared context experience and skill integration is available starting Wednesday for all Mac and Windows users on paid plans.
