Roku’s solution to streaming decision fatigue is a trivia game

Roku users struggling to figure out what to watch may have an answer in the form of “Roklue,” a new game coming to the streaming platform on March 7. Announced on ThursdayRoklue is a pop culture trivia game that Roku says helps users discover new content and “quizzes players on the movies and TV shows everyone is talking about, as well as beloved favorites they want to watch over and over again.”

Roklue’s first theme will be “Awards Season,” with “guides inspired by Hollywood’s biggest awards show moments and blockbuster movies.” Trivia game themes will change throughout the year. Users don’t need to download anything to try it out — Roklue will appear in the Roku home screen once it launches on Saturday.

Roklue joins the existing lineup of games available on Roku through its site Games channels. Likewise, Netflix Games were also offered for several years now, both within its own streaming platform and as free-to-play games on mobile platforms that require a Netflix subscription to play.
