Mobile World Congress In Barcelona is where the biggest companies in the world of technology gather to showcase their latest gadgets. in Mobile World Congress 2026 We’ve seen some great products, including… Leica Litzphone from Xiaomi And super thin Honor Magic V6 Foldable phone. But the show always presents a wealth of devices with strange concepts and this year is no exception.
From wild cars to convertible phones, these are the most exciting concepts we’ve seen at the MWC showroom yet.
The Vision GT looks great but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to drive it.
Xiaomi is no stranger to electric cars, but this is the first time the company has done so Designed a supercar Specifically for use as a digital asset in the PlayStation 5 racing game Gran Turismo. But Xiaomi did not stop there, but actually built the car for real and gave it a prominent place in its huge booth in the convention center.
The Vision GT, as it’s called (GT stands for Gran Turismo, obvs) is an all-electric supercar that Xiaomi says was “sculpted by the wind.” This means that it is designed with all kinds of swooping lines and flowing inlets that allow it to pass through the air with minimal resistance. You’ve got a massive back section… um…? Whatever it is, it’s basically one huge hole to allow airflow.
The car looks great and I wish I could sit inside the LED-filled cockpit but unfortunately the doors remained tightly closed. This is a concept model designed for the game, and the company has not made any statement about whether it plans to put something like this into production.
One thing is for sure though: it sure as hell won’t be cheap.
These units are truly a “lens” for photography
I may have been impressed this year by the amazing camera power of Xiaomi and Leica but Techno concept He might be able to take things further. At its heart it’s essentially a thin Android phone, but the series of electrical contact pins on the back allow you to place a variety of modular accessories to completely change what the phone can do.
One module that particularly caught my attention was the camera module, which not only added a nice zoom lens to the phone, but actually had a larger camera sensor as well. It basically turned the phone into a full-fledged camera that only uses the screen as the viewfinder.
Hopefully the larger image sensor will also allow the phone to take some great photos, although I’ll have to reserve judgment on what its images look like at this point that Tecno is putting it into production.
The robot takes a peek at the back of the Honor phone.
Honor first demonstrated its concept Robot phone We’re back at CES in Las Vegas but we were able to get even closer to this thing this year. It looks sort of like the love child of the Android Phone and the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, with a gimbal-mounted camera module that folds out from inside the phone.
like A YouTuber myselfI like the idea of having a built-in way to shoot photography videos. Honor actually had to develop its own tiny motors — based on the technology it uses in the hinges of its foldable phones — and CNET’s Katie Collins was impressed when the camera’s built-in AI complimented its “soft, shiny hair.”
While the robotic phone is still in the concept stage at the moment, Honor has said that it will enter full production and we may even be able to buy it in the second half of the year.
We got a hands-on experience with the Yoga Book 3D concept – this image of a mouse turned into a fully rendered 3D model before our eyes.
Lenovo and sister brand Motorola have often shown off some fun concepts at the show, and these are my favorites Motorola phone that will be worn on the wrist starting in 2024. This year, Lenovo is leading the way with its concept 3D Yoga Book Laptop A projection screen, which displays 3D images – and you don’t even need to wear those stupid glasses to see them.
Like any recently launched tech item, the device relies on artificial intelligence to achieve its goals. In this case, artificial intelligence helps transform 2D drawn objects into full 3D renderings. It has two screens, with the bottom screen being your “working screen” where you can draw and interact with your creations while the top screen uses stereoscopic screen technology to display your images in a way that makes them look truly 3D.
We tested it at a pre-show hands-on event, and CNET’s Tyler Graham noted that “if you’re not standing directly in front of the computer, the presentation looks less impressive and more headache-inducing.” This has been my experience using any glasses-free 3D technology, so I don’t see this type of technology being deployed in a widespread product yet. But it’s nice to see it being tested.
Honor CEO James Lee welcomes the company’s robot on stage at MWC
Do you think Honor is done with robotics after the aforementioned Robot Phone? Oh no, the company has much bigger plans when it comes to robotics and has clearly laid its cards on the table at this year’s show. that it The first humanoid robot He took to the stage during the company’s press conference, dancing, moonwalking, and even doing a back flip to show how much easier it is to move versus, say, a 38-year-old tech journalist whose knees struggle to stand up, let alone flip backwards.
The robot will be equipped with AI intelligence, of course, and rather than focusing on industrial applications, Honor is aiming its robot firmly at the consumer world. She says it will be able to help us in the workplace, as a human companion at home and to help with shopping. Although if I hear a word from him about maybe not needing to buy a second packet of cookies, I throw them straight into the sea.
