Arturia has launched a new version of its flagship effects suite, the FX Collection, which includes two new plug-ins, EFX Ambient and Pitch Shifter-910. Foreign exchange group 6 It also represents a file entry introduction The version with a selection of six effects that covers the basics goes for $99. That pales in comparison to the 39 effects in the full FX Collection Pro suite, but that also costs $499.
Pitch Shifter-910 It is based on iconography It happened Coordinator H910 From 1974, it is an early digital switcher and delay device with a very unique character. Arturia does a great job of maintaining her deceptive quirks. Pitch Shifter-910 is not a transparent effect that allows you to create natural harmonies with yourself. Instead, he revels in its strangeness, offering chipmunk vocals in the higher ranges. There’s also a more modern mode that cleans up some artifacts while preserving what makes the 910 so special. Although if you ask me, it also takes a bit of fun and unpredictability.
Ambient EFX It’s another new addition to the Artoria lineup, and it’s a strange one. Although they do what it says on the tin, they don’t always do so in predictable ways. Sure, there’s plenty of big, ethereal reverb and shimmer, but there’s also resonators, glitch processing, and reverse delay. It has six distinct modes with unique characteristics, which feed it through a large reverb dimmer. There is an X/Y control in the middle to add movement to your sound.
None of the brand new effects were cut for the intro version. Introduction to FX Collection 6 includes Efx Motions, Efx Fragments, Mix Drums, Tape Mello-Fi, Rev Plate-140, and Delay Tape-201. This provides excellent versatility covering delay, reverb, tape-like lo-fi, modulation, and even granular processing. Primarily, what you miss out on are some saturation and mixing effects like bus and compression, as well as more specialist flavors of delay and reverb like the Rev LX-24, based on the Lexicon 224 from 1978.
$499 for the complete FX Collection 6 Pro may seem steep, but as the company grows the lineup from 15 influencers in 2020 to 39 influencers in 2026, the value proposition has become more attractive. And while they’re not as highly regarded as Arturia’s V range of soft textures, they’re building a solid reputation for high-quality effects.
