Google AI search results will make links more visible

Google says it will now display links more clearly within its AI-powered features in search. Robbie Stein, Vice President of Google Search, Announced on Tuesday The list of links will now appear within a pop-up window when you hover over sources in AI Overviews and AI Mode on desktop, along with a description of each linked article and accompanying images.

Stein adds that Google will also display “more descriptive and prominent link icons” in AI responses on desktop and mobile. “Our testing shows that this new user interface is more engaging, making it easier to access great content across the web,” Stein writes.
