Alexa+ and Kindle Scribe now work together with Send to Alexa

Once Alexa+ is activated, go to the notebook you want to share and tap the share icon in the top-right corner. (You’ll likely need to click at the top of the page for the menu bar to appear.) Once you click it, it will ask you whether you want to share the page or just the notebook. Both options can be used to share with Alexa. Once you choose one of these, a new menu will appear at the bottom of the screen with a prompt to send to the email associated with your Amazon account, and the “Send to Alexa” option should be at the bottom of that menu. Click it and you are good to go.

Once you’re ready to ask about the notes you’ve sent, you’ll need to ask Alexa a question like “Provide a summary of (notebook name).” I asked things like “Give me a summary of my Disney planner notes” and “Did you get my to-do note?” Which prompted Alexa to tell me that it found the Quick Notes document I sent.

The summaries provided by Alexa are very simple, although the Disney summary was more accurate than the to-do list, since the Disney summary did not use cursive letters exclusively. I was able to ask questions like: “What days do I need to book Lightning Lane?” I will get an exact answer for the days I have noted down for my Disney World Lightning Lanes reservation. I couldn’t get a completely accurate to-do list; It said things like “Set up a bot role” instead of my “Set up a unemployment bot” point, and “Unite Alexa Stay” instead of my “Write an Alexa story” item. (Yes, that’s the story).

It was a solid conversation starter, at least, and gave Alexa a good foundation for what I wanted to talk about and get to grips with. I was also able to ask if he thought I was missing anything from my packing list which was limited to clothes and shoes, and the assistant informed me that I should pack sunscreen, a charger, and a small backpack. That’s true, but the real thing I have to remember to bring with me is toothpaste. But I’m not sure Alexa can save me from chronically forgetting to bring toothpaste.
