Everything was at least good, and many of the desserts were absolutely stunning – a dessert with rose petals, for example, and a strawberry cheesecake bark with “crust” stripes. All 10 different-flavored macarons were fresh, and I appreciated the variety of truffle varieties, which included key lime, piña colada, and carrot spice, among the traditional chocolate. The sea salted caramel popcorn wasn’t as crunchy as if it had been stored on its own, but it still had some crunch. This is the only nit I have after trying at least one bite out of all 47 items.

Overall, this is a very well-curated palette with high-quality sources (caramel, for example, from… Wildwood Confectionery Company, based in Portland, Oregon) which I wouldn’t hesitate to send as a gift, especially given Boarderie’s reliable overnight shipping. (Even though my box arrived within 24 hours, it’s still safest to order a day or two in advance if possible, to account for any unexpected delays.) Just make sure you know the status of your Valentine’s diet before sending it, and make sure they have plenty of friends or family to share it with.
