The Apple Health Coach Project may need a health check

Apple is downsizing and rethinking its ambitious plans to introduce an AI health coach, according to a… Bloomberg report Written by Mark Gorman, citing anonymous sources familiar with the company’s plans.

The project is known from within Apples are like berriesfirst reported last year, sees the company expected to pack health-related AI features as a coach or assistant. But now, according to Bloomberg reports, this project will be broken down into individual features that will be introduced over time, as happened with tools like Sleep apnea and Hearing tests Added to Apple Watch and Apple AirPods.

An Apple representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Bloomberg sources indicate a change in Apple’s health technology leadership. Veteran services chief Eddie Cue is overseeing those projects and handling pressure from competitors rushing into the health space, including Oura and Peloton as well as tech giants like Google and OpenAI, which just launched ChatGPT Validity.

Apple was also said to be building a studio for a revamped health services app that would include virtual and video instruction, and integration with existing health tools and Apple devices. Some of this content and software will likely be released to the public, but not in one package, according to Bloomberg.
