Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold

I’ll be using Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold every day and sharing my musings here.

On the morning of January 30, my colleagues and I went online at the crack of dawn to try and score a hot item. No, it wasn’t about dropping sneakers or tickets to a Harry Styles concert. It was for phone.

But not just any phone. We were competing to get our hands on it Samsung Galaxy Z TriFoldwhich was already launched in other parts of the world last month, and reportedly sold out there within minutes. We expected a similar result with the trio’s arrival in the US – though Price: $2900 – Given all the hype it’s generated and the apparently limited supply of devices.

In fact, the number of Galaxy Z TriFold devices appears to be so sparse that Samsung didn’t provide review units to CNET or other journalists, as it typically does when launching a new phone. That’s why we were shopping online before sunrise.

When the clock struck 7 a.m. PT, the race was on. Four of my teammates and I went through the process of trying to secure a new Samsung foldable phone. We only need one person to be successful. Almost immediately, everyone was met with the remark that The phone has been sold – Except me.

Miraculously, I was able to add the Tri-Fold to my cart and complete the transaction amounting to $3,164.05 (total amount after taxes and California battery recycling fees). In the end, it was truly a game of chance, and the odds seemed to be in my favor.

Now the fun begins. I look forward to sharing my thoughts, big and small, as I use the Galaxy Z TriFold every day. I got some Hands-on time with the phone During CES, but for now, I’ll live with it and see if it can really work as a practical phone-tablet hybrid.

Is the 6.5-inch Cover Screen size adequate for most tasks? Will I get used to how the phone feels folded and closed, or will those three panels stacked together be a little outdated? Is the 10-inch internal screen really useful for multitasking and doing work?

I will share these ideas and many more in this blog. Be sure to follow my many musings along the way.
