If you are tired of the relentless… High prices Of your favourites Streaming platformsIt’s nice to know that Free TV services Such as Tubi, Kanopy, and Pluto TV can be relied upon for all kinds of great shows and movies. New movies (and TV shows) arrive on these platforms every month, making them great options if you don’t want to pay for another service.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Tubi’s got a new original romantic comedy ready to go. Kissing Is the Easy Part is based on a web novel about an ambitious high school student who agrees to tutor one of the most popular girls in school… You can probably guess that even though they are opposites, sparks fly. Tubi’s also got a great selection of classic films arriving in February like 13 Going on 30, Barbershop, and the 1997 version of Anaconda (now that you’ve seen the reboot, it’s time to get the original).
Kanopy, as always, has a great selection of new independent films. Films like Sorry to Bother You and If Beale Street Could Talk just in time for Black History Month, and the critically acclaimed Life of Chuck also arrives. In quirky, hard-to-find gems? Pluto TV has a great lineup of favorite shows like Bottle Rocket and Cool World making their way to the platform this month.
These titles are just a small sample of the films arriving this month on free digital platforms. Here’s a look at some of what we’re excited to be streaming in February.
Tubi’s newest original stars Asher Angel as Sean, a valedictorian desperate to get into MIT. Paris Berelc, who previously appeared in Netflix’s Hubie Halloween and Do Revenge, plays Flora, a popular high school student who doesn’t care about academics. When Flora’s powerful parents offer Sean a college recommendation in exchange for his tutoring services, a relationship develops in this new romantic comedy based on the web novel of the same name by Christine Duane. The film will premiere on February 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
