Elon Musk combined SpaceX with xAI (and X)

SpaceX has acquired xAI to form the most ambitious, vertically integrated innovation engine on Earth (and beyond), with artificial intelligence, rocketry, space Internet, direct mobile communications, and the most important platform for real-time information and freedom of expression in the world. This represents not only the next chapter, but the next book in SpaceX and xAI’s mission: expanding to create a conscious sun to understand the universe and extend the light of consciousness to the stars!

Current advances in artificial intelligence rely on large, ground-based data centers, which require massive amounts of power and cooling. Global electricity demand using AI simply cannot be met by terrestrial solutions, even in the near term, without imposing hardship on communities and the environment.

In the long term, space-based AI is clearly the only way to scale. Harnessing even a millionth of the energy of our sun would require a million times more energy than our civilization currently uses!

Therefore, the only logical solution is to move these resource-intensive efforts to a site with significant capacity and space. I mean, space is called “space” for a reason.
