Puppy Bowl XXII will feature 150 dogs from 72 shelters — the largest group of dogs to date — before the Super Bowl airs on Sunday, February 8 at 6:30 PM ET/3:30 PM PT. Puppy Bowl 2026 will start on 2 PM ET/11 AM PT on Sunday 8 February It will stream simulcast on HBO Max, Discovery Plus, Discovery, Animal Planet, TBS and TruTV. The Puppy Combine pre-show will air at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT.
The three-hour spectacle will include play-by-play commentary from sportscasters Steve Levy and Taylor Roxx, puppy cheerleading squads, adoptable animals, and a halftime event focusing on senior dogs. Team Oldies and Team Goldies will be lending their feet to the first-ever exhibition game centered around older canines.
The 2026 bowl will include 15 puppies with special needs. Some of the furry athletes’ backstories will also be highlighted, which includes a segment with Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir and Boone, a Boston terrier beagle included in the Puppy Bowl. As with last year, there will be a preview of the Puppy Combine, where 10 dogs will participate in hands-on exercises with the hopes of being the top pick in the Puppy Bowl draft.
