Tiktok seems to be doubling down on the ‘pine’ on its mini-dramas with the new PineDrama app, now available on both… Apple App Store and Google Play. It’s free, probably until the company accumulates a large enough content library that it’s worth paying for.

At this moment, everything seems like romantic kettles, but since then Small dramas are increasingly popular Even as I write, that has to change. PineDrama’s app is fairly basic. There’s a central home screen that displays your feed and trending videos, as well as access to your history and all your videos. Discover offers slightly larger thumbnails for browsing all your videos or popular videos. The inbox is for system notifications and new followers, and the profile view shows you your favorites as well as the number of people you follow, followers, and likes.

Although it is a standalone application, PineDrama uses the main application Tik Tok Login system, so you still need a TikTok account to access it. Since the content is fairly similar to what’s available on TikTok, anyone who wants to use PineDrama will likely have an account anyway.

(None of this makes sense, since I have the attention span of a cat in a room full of laser pointers.)

But sometimes you need a hit of dopamine, and PineDrama lets you watch each episode in sequence. And watching just the first frame of each is a kind of magic: from kissing to post-coitus to packing a suitcase in just three swipes.
