PUBG Development company Krafton has 26 games in development, and at a recent city council meeting, the company Outline of the plan to “focus on its core gaming business while outlining a disciplined approach to building long-term franchise IPs.”
“Over the past year, KRAFTON has geared up to grow its IP franchise by strengthening its creative leadership, as well as modernizing its overall game development and publishing frameworks,” the company says. “In 2026, the company will intensify the development of new titles with the potential to grow into franchise IPs, while at the same time accelerating the growth of the PUBG franchise IP.”
The 26-project development plan “was intentionally designed around early validation and clear decision-making gates,” says Crafton. Twelve games, incl Subnautica 2, World Mobileand No lawtargeting release within the “next two years.”
Crafton still plans to build PUBG Franchising, including expansion User generated content which “leverages PUBG’s core gunplay, mechanics and physics engine, enhancing the ecosystem where players can create and share their own content.” (PUBG: Battlegrounds It’s still a huge game — as I write this, it has nearly 200,000 concurrent players and is the fourth most played game on the platform, according to To Steam charts.)
