Paramount Plus just raised prices. Here’s what you should know


It’s official: streaming price hikes are following us through 2026. Paramount Plus Costs more in the US as of January 15.

Paramount Plus Essential and Premium plans both rose by $1. The ad-supported basic version has risen to $9, and the ad-free premium version has risen to $14. The prepaid option for a year of streaming now costs $90 for Essential and $140 for Premium, compared to $60 per year for Essential and $120 per year for Premium.

Both new and existing subscribers will see a price increase. In a message to ContributorsThe company said the changes — including upcoming pricing adjustments in Australia and Canada — “will foster continued reinvestment in the user experience and deliver a stronger slate of software to our customers in the coming year and beyond.”

Paramount Plus plans differ in several ways. The Premium plan exclusively allows you to download titles and access any Showtime title you want. Both tiers offer Paramount Plus Taylor Sheridan Shows, like Landman and Tulsa King, as well as franchises like South Park, Star Trek, CBS series, Paramount Pictures films, and live sports. Premium includes your live local CBS station. With Essential, you can watch the NFL on CBS and the UEFA Champions League via separate live streams.
