Apple is bundling its professional film and audio tools including Final Cut Pro with its Keynote, Pages, and Numbers productivity apps into a subscription software suite called Apple Creators Studio.
The package includes applications for Mac, iPad and iPhoneincludes Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, MainStage, and the Freeform whiteboard app. Creator Studio will be available starting January 28 at a cost of $13 per month or $129 per year, or $3 per month or $30 per year for students and teachers. Mac users will still have the option to purchase software like Final Cut Pro for free once. The current price for Final Cut Pro in the Mac App Store is $300.
While apps like Keynote and Pages are already free on Apple platforms, it appears that new versions of these apps will have access to beta features that will be rolled out first to Creator Studio subscribers. Apple’s announcement cites “new AI features and premium content” in some of the apps it makes available for free to use.
What the Creator Studio package comes with
The star of the show in Creator Studio is Final Cut Provideo editing software that will now include text searching on both Mac and iPad. There’s also a new Beat Detection feature that Apple says uses an AI model to analyze a piece of music and display a beat grid, making it easier to cut video to the beats of the music. The program will also include the new Montage Maker on iPad for creating quick social videos.
a movement2D and 3D graphics tool compressor It also integrates with Final Cut Pro. Apple touted Motion’s Magnet Mask feature for isolating objects or people without the need for a green screen.
With the Apple Creator Studio bundle, Logic Pro gets some upgrades, including a new Chord ID feature that can create chord progressions from audio and MIDI files.
Logic Pro It has new features for musicians, including the addition of Synth Player to AI Session Players. Chord ID, The new AI feature can create chord progressions from audio or MIDI recordings. The new audio library will contain hundreds of royalty-free clips, samples and loops.
renewed MainStage The app gives subscribers access to musical instruments, vocal mastery, and guitar instruments. Pixelmator Pro It arrives with new tools and filters, and there will be an iPad version as well as a Mac tool.
Free form In the Creator Studio package, premium content will be added, including rich photos, graphics, and illustrations. It will also get new AI features that include image generation.
