Dutch company DuRoBo has a new e-reader called the Krono in which it is displayed Consumer Electronics Show 2026 The company said in a press release on Tuesday that it features a smartphone-like design, along with a built-in artificial intelligence assistant.

Chrono’s AI assistant, called Libby AI, can answer questions and “support deep thinking.” The Krono comes with Android 15, which means it has access to the Google Play Store.

The Krono will likely try to differentiate itself from other e-readers by having a more smartphone-like shape, acting as a second screen in backpacks or pockets.
