Looking to reach a wide range of gamers, Dell-owned Alienware announced at CES 2026 that it is working on two new laptops: one with a lower price, entry-level one and another with an ultra-thin chassis. There aren’t a lot of details at the moment, as Alienware is only sharing some basic renders, and photography of the non-working prototypes behind glass that I’ve seen in person has been suppressed.
But the basics are that the ultra-thin model will come in 14- and 16-inch versions and will be around 17mm thick, and although its performance will be limited, it will have discrete Nvidia graphics. Alienware is sharing fewer details about its upcoming entry-level model, aside from its product chief Matt McGowan saying in a media conference that it is targeting a price that is hundreds of cheaper. Current offers. This would put it in the sub-$1,000 area.
Speaking of current Alienware laptops, the 16-inch Area-51 and Aurora 16X models get new anti-glare OLED panel options. Alienware claims it “reduces glare by 32 percent” and reduces fingerprint smudges (though these aren’t touchscreens). The new displays feature HDR True Black 500 technology, a maximum brightness of 600 nits when viewing HDR content, and have built-in pixel protection to reduce the chances of burn-in.
