Hisense shrinks $30,000 technology into smaller TVs for 2026


Hisense on Monday unveiled two new RGB mini-LED TVs here in Consumer Electronics Show 2026. The UR9 and UR8 series offer screen sizes ranging from 55 to 100 inches.

Hisense says the range offers a “significantly expanded color gamut with richer saturation and more accurate color reproduction.” The company says the new TVs are able to “maintain color integrity in bright rooms” when watching movies or playing games.

RGB backlighting uses combinations of red, green, and blue LEDs to produce colors and doesn’t necessarily need color filters like other TVs.

The TVs’ built-in sound is tuned by French audio brand Devialet, which stands out for its excellence Phantom speakers I have loved for many years.
