Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold hands-on: This is the hybrid phone you’ve been looking for

You can run three apps side by side, two apps at once, or one large app across the entire screen.

There are two titanium hinges, and three panels open. You can place a full-sized app on each of the three panes, use a larger split-screen version, or extend a single app across the wide screen. These settings were easy to adjust, and I could see myself taking full advantage of having three apps open at once. It’s still a bit unwieldy to hold, but that’s not unusual for a 10-inch tablet. The TriFold is very thin in its unfolded state, which helps.

Fold it up, and it’s 12.9mm thick, which is just a bit larger than a fish Galaxy Z Fold6 (12.1 mm). The fact that it’s almost the same thickness as the previous generation, but with a significantly larger screen, is impressive. It makes the bulk a little more palatable.

The hardware is great and the specifications are top notch and closer to Samsung’s specifications Galaxy S25 Ultra; There is a 200-megapixel main camera on the back, and the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. The displays are protected by ceramic glass, which is also available IP48 Dust and water resistance rating.
