Laptops are always big at CES, with most of the major companies — with the exception of Apple — announcing new models. They range from iterative specification bumps to entirely new designs. Plus, there are always spin-offs concept Which maybe or Maybe never He comes out.

CES 2026 is supposed to bring new laptops featuring three new chipsets: Intel Tiger LakeQualcomm Snapdragon X2and AMD Rumored “Gorgon Point” Processors. Intel and Qualcomm are ramping up the efficiency of their new chips while simultaneously focusing on graphics power — which always sounds too good to be true and often is. But battery life ranges from good to excellent among current offerings, and AMD has proven with the Strix Halo that integrated graphics can be just that. Honestly impressive. I’m interested to see how things progress from here, especially in a year with no new Nvidia GPUs. (But then again, Nvidia may soon Compete in a different way.)

Regardless of how the latest chip showdown turns out, I hope we see more unique ideas in laptop form factors. Give me more Rollable, Dual screens, Foldableor any other clever uses of screen real estate you can dream up. But like my favorite laptop From the recent CES exhibitionLet’s hope the radical stuff goes beyond the concept stage.

Robots, smart locks, and artificial intelligence, oh my! CES 2026 will be overrun by robots. from Vacuums are more brutal than everFrom pool cleaners, lawn mowers, to humanoid robots handsLimbs and deeper intelligence, this will be the year that smart home robots move from science fiction to science fact.

Will we all have human beings doing our laundry by the end of the year? no. But the idea of assistive robots, in some form, will soon become mainstream, thanks to huge advances in computer vision. And it all starts next week in Vegas.

Likewise, artificial intelligence is fueling advances in security cameras, moving them beyond pure surveillance and into a more integrated role in home automation. Anticipate new capabilities that use deeper intelligence to provide much-needed context. Cameras became part of the material This is also a step forward here, and I hope to see companies announce their support for the standard – despite the platforms lagging behind.

The other big trend will be Smart locks. Yes, I said This is last year (and You were right), but delays throughout Access standard The attack slowed down. However, smart locks remain the most important thing in a smart home – being an excellent entry point (ha) and a linchpin for a fully integrated home. We expect, once again, to see a large number of Unlocks using palm, face and UWBalong with better form factors, as technology companies finally accept what not everyone wants Star Trek– Front door style devices.

It was CES 2025 Big year for PC gamers – New flagship Nvidia graphics cards, SteamOS mobile devices, and 27-inch 240Hz 4K OLED displays – but don’t expect 2026 to offer the same! On the PC side, Nvidia’s RTX 50 Super has it It will likely be postponedwe I can’t trust Latest Intel Desktop GPU teaseWe don’t expect gaming GPUs from AMD. The historically impressive Razer doesn’t have a booth on the floor for the second year in a row, and the “Gaming/XR” section at the Las Vegas Convention Center seems to be only tangentially related to gaming this year: it looks like we’ll be seeing more video glasses there than anything else!

Looks like we’ll be seeing more video glasses out there than anything else!

It seems so Lenovo will have a rotating gaming laptop and To the SteamOS version From the current Legion Go 2 handheld, I’m really curious how integrated the graphics are In Intel and In the latest laptop chips from Qualcomm It may perform and whether it will fit on mobile devices as well. Finally, LEGO It will be at CES For the first time in years…

Every major TV manufacturer will be competing with their own small or small RGB TVs in 2026.

It started with CES last year – when Hisense unveiled its first RGB Mini LED TV It was officially released last summer — is poised to explode at CES 2026 when every company will likely show off its own RGB LED TVs. Samsung and LG have already announced plans to release smaller sizes, with Samsung introduces 2026 Micro RGB LED TVs With panels ranging from 55 to 100 inches, and LG launches its first Micro RGB evo TVs for the first time In three sizes: 75, 86 and 100 inches.

Last September, TCL has announced two new RGB LED TVs As for the Chinese market, there are expectations for similar news for the United States and Europe at CES. I hope Hisense expands its UX line to smaller screen sizes. (while Sony showcased its RGB LED product In 2025 and He filed a patent for something called True RGBhasn’t made major TV news at CES for a few years. I don’t expect that to change in 2026.)

The big unanswered question yet is when we’ll see any of them on sale as early as 2026 and how much they will cost. Both are 115 inches Samsung Micro RGB LED TV The 116-inch Hisense RGB Mini LED in 2025 was in the $30,000 ballpark, with a 100-inch version of the Hisense announced for $19,999. The technological advances made to RGB LED over the past year, and the promise of intense competition, will certainly bring prices closer to a more manageable range. Once CES rolls around, I hope we’ll find out exactly how controllable it is.

CES is not for normi phones. The phones that arrived at CES are eccentric Phones, and the number one weird phone I’d love to see in one way or another is the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold. Samsung is not usually one of the companies that shows off its phones at the exhibition; The S Series usually gets updated after two weeks in January. But this year may be different: Trifold has just been launched in KoreaAnd CES looks to be a nice big stage for a global debut. I am ready with all my heart to buy a phone with two hinges.

I think it’s a fair bet we’ll see this dual beauty at CES

Would it be excessive? Undoubtedly. Will it cost a large amount of money? You know that. But think of all the things you can do He does With a phone that’s also a decent 10-inch tablet. Maybe this is the phone that will fulfill my promise to leave my laptop at home. Are you there, Deeks?? It’s me, Alison. Either way, it’s going to be pretty sick the first time I fold this phone And then fold it again. I think it’s a fair bet we’ll see this dual beauty at CES, and what better way to get into it General foldable phone?

Wearables and health technology

For many years, wearables have gone hand in hand with health and fitness tracking. This year I expect to see fewer fitness trackers and more XR and AI devices. Specifically smart glasses. They were a staple at CES 2025, and I see that trend continuing into 2026. But while the commercial market is dominated by so-called AI glasses — lightweight devices like Ray-Ban Meta glasses — there is much more diversity at CES. I expect we’ll see some smart glasses that blur the line with headphones and perhaps some interesting ideas on how to include displays.

On the health front, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the word “longevity” attached to products. Consider devices aimed at helping you live longer or preventing chronic disease. Unfortunately, this means bodily fluids such as blood and urine. (Why? To try to get a window into hormonal and metabolic health.) We’ve already seen this from Shout, Ora, and Withings In 2025, so I expect we will see more demos from small companies at the show.
