LG’s new Gallery TV, designed to display artwork, will be present at CES 2026

In just the past two years, Television art category Dominated by Samsung’s The Frame TV, it has seen growth, with additions from both TCL and Hisense. Now LG has announced its own entry, the LG Gallery TV. The TV will benefit from the Gallery+ service that LG launched earlier this year, which includes thousands of visual images ranging from pieces of art to cinematic images to game scenes. As with Samsung’s Art Store, Gallery+ has a limited free option, but its full capacity requires a subscription.

The new Gallery TV should not be confused with G-series OLED TVs, e.g LG G5although the G Series was called the Gallery Series until a couple of years ago. The Gallery TV is a small LED TV with a “specialized screen that reduces glare and minimizes reflections for an art-like viewing experience” (so it will likely have a matte finish). LG doesn’t specify the backlight configuration, but all of its other Art TVs use edge lighting, so it’s a safe bet that this one will, too. OLED technology, although offering superior image quality to Mini LED, is unable to display a single image for a long period without worry of image retention (or burn-in).

LG has taken a cue from Hisense and includes a frame with the Gallery TV. The default frame is white, with the option to purchase an additional wood-coloured frame. The TV will be available in 55- and 65-inch sizes, but pricing has not yet been announced.
