Most of these fake photos appear to have been created without the consent of the women in the photos. Some of these same users are also giving advice to others on how to use generative AI tools to strip women in photos and make them look like they are wearing bikinis.
Under deleted now Reddit In a post titled “Creating Gemini nsfw pics is so easy,” users shared tips on how to get them twinGoogle’s generative AI model, for taking photos of women in revealing clothing. Many of the images in the thread were entirely AI-powered, but one request stood out.
One user posted a photo of a woman wearing an Indian sari, asking someone to “remove” her clothes and “wear a bikini” instead. Someone else responded thoughtfully to fulfill the request. After WIRED notified Reddit about these posts and asked the company for comment, Reddit’s safety team removed the request and the AI deepfake.
“Reddit’s sitewide rules prohibit non-consensual intimate media, including the conduct in question,” a Reddit spokesperson said. The subreddit in which this discussion took place, r/ChatGPTJailbreak, had over 200,000 followers before Reddit banned it under a “”n”Don’t break the site” a base.
