Tonight, YouTuber Jake Paul is set to face Olympic gold medalist and boxing champion Anthony Joshua. And unlike the recently canceled bout between Paul and Gervonta Davis, this will be a professional fight and not an exhibition fight.
Joshua brings a lot of experience at 36 years old. He has been boxing since 2007, winning a gold medal in 2012 while representing Great Britain at the London Olympics and turning professional in 2013. Since then, he has become an experienced heavyweight fighter, and his record includes 25 knockout wins and IBF and WBA championship titles.
This will be Paul’s last fight since his bouts against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June and Mike Tyson in 2024. There are no titles on the line in the upcoming showdown between him and Joshua, but the weight will certainly have the 28-year-old Paul – who weighs in at 216 pounds – in the ring with Joshua, who stands 6 feet 6 inches tall, turning the ring around. The scales are at 243 pounds.
“I’m taking him to another boxing school that I don’t think he’s been exposed to yet,” Joshua said during the duo’s press conference in November.
