The new Monday Night Football broadcast will offer an alternative broadcast showing the game live from an All-22 camera angle that shows the entire field, along with on-screen analysis and commentary. It’s called Multinational gaming rules with next generation statisticsIt premieres next week.
To develop the show, ESPN partnered with sports data analytics platform Adrenaline, which uses an AI model trained on hundreds of thousands of NFL plays to predict passing odds, offensive odds and more.
“The data changes dynamically and is updated in real time,” says ESPN producer Andy Jacobson Edge. “You’ll see it on the screen as we’ve created augmented reality graphics that are embedded in the field and constantly updated up until the shot.”
Along with on-screen graphics, ESPN analysts will collaborate with a roster of former NFL players, including Luke Kuechly, Chase Daniel and Tim Hasselbeck, to provide their insights during games.
