Sorry, can you say that again? Meta smart glasses The company is introducing a new hearing aid function called Conversation Focus that can make it easier to hear someone speaking to you in noisy places. This feature is part of the end-of-year update to the Meta smart glasses range It was just announced today.
It was promised to focus the conversation in September at the glasses-focused Meta conference Developers conference. And I heard it was shown after that too. The feature works by using beamforming microphones on the glasses to focus directly on who’s in front of you, then filter out other noise.
The idea is similar in theory to what the FDA has approved Hearing aid glasses Made by Nuance Audio No. The update should be arriving soon for Meta Ray-Ban and Oakley HSTN Smartglasses, but they are available as an early access feature that you have to sign up for first.

Rolling Meta firmware updates may take some time to reach everyone, so there’s a chance you won’t see them today at all. I’m curious to try conversation focus soon, if not while walking around Crowds at CES.
