Having dropped just two points all season, defending champions Bayern Munich will look to maintain their unbeaten record in the Bundesliga on Saturday, hosting a Mainz side for whom the winter break cannot come soon enough.

While Mainz coach Urs Fischer has seen his side thrive in the Europa League this season, this strong European form appears to come at a domestic cost. A 1-0 loss at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach last weekend ensured the Nullfünfer remained rooted at the foot of the table.
