3D Analog Gaming Console Renders Transparent N64 Colors


Want to color your world with a 90s time period? the 3D analog The gaming system, a modern remake of the Nintendo 64, introduces new translucent colors that perfectly match Nintendo’s 1999 “cool” color selection series, Analog Announced on Monday.

Orders begin December 10, and Analogue says the systems will ship before Christmas. The standard black and white units will also be restocked, although they will ship in 2026.

The game systems will be available in eight different colors, just like the Nintendo 64 of the past. These include:

  • jungle (green)
  • Ice (teal)
  • Watermelon (pink red)
  • fire (orange)
  • Grape (purple)
  • clear
  • smoke (gray)
  • Gold (solid color, opaque, exclusive to Toys R Us)

Color models will be priced at $300, $30 more than the standard black-and-white versions. Analogue is also teaming up with 8BitDo, a third-party controller manufacturer, to offer matching controllers at launch for $45.

News of the new 3D Analog Color comes as the company faces competition from ModRetro, another company that recreates vintage gaming consoles. ModRetro released images of its M64 controller last monthwhich will upscale the original N64 cartridges to 4K resolution and output via HDMI to modern TVs. The ModRetro design takes a more colorful approach compared to analog design, leaning towards transparent colors and rounded edges. ModRetro plans to release the M64 in 2026.
