Seven months later Launching the first semi-solid battery Using a safer, longer-lasting solid-liquid mixed electrolyte, Kuxiu offers a new version with some welcome upgrades. the S3 has twice the capacity From the S2 at 10,000 mAh – 5,000 mAh at 7.7 V (38.5 Wh) – which the company says is enough to almost double the iPhone’s battery life, but that will vary depending on the model.
The Kuxiu S3 is too Compatible with Qi2.2 So it can wirelessly charge compatible devices at up to 25W. The larger battery means it’s over 100g heavier than the S2’s 145g, but Kuxiu has increased the number of N52 magnets it uses from 16 to 18 to help reduce the risk of the power bank accidentally falling off your phone. There’s now a built-in kickstand on the back, a small display that shows the remaining capacity and charging status, and a built-in cable for charging other devices through the USB-C port with up to 35W power delivery.
As with the previous model, the S3 is more expensive than traditional wireless power banks that offer similar capacity, charging rates, and features, but the cost of the technology should come down over time as manufacturing improves and scales up. It’s available now for $149.98, but has been temporarily reduced to $68.99. If that sounds like a tough pill to swallow, remember that while most power banks’ capacity will start to degrade after 300 to 500 cycles, the S3 should see its capacity drop to only about 80 percent after 1,000 charging cycles. It will have a much longer lifespan, and will be less at risk from problems such as fire and thermal runaway If you accidentally drop it.
